I'm Derya, founder of MAVI BEAUTY – a brand born from love, passion, and science. Since my youth, hair has been my greatest passion. I have always delved deeply into natural hair care, oils, and rituals, trying countless methods over the years.
Many people admired my hair – long, strong, and healthy. But for me, this was no coincidence; it was the result of knowledge, patience, and consistent care.
The true inspiration came from my mother. She used to have beautiful, thick, shiny hair, so long it reached below her backside. Her secret was the
traditional Hair Oiling, which she learned from her parents. In Anatolian culture, it was common for mothers to regularly oil their daughters' hair – a symbol of care, purity, and femininity. A ritual that has united people worldwide for centuries, from India to Morocco to Japan.
However, after several pregnancies, she lost more and more time for herself – and eventually, her hair. Hormonal changes, stress, and lack of self-care caused her strong hair to become thin and brittle.
For me, this was a key moment: I realized that true beauty requires care and time – and that self-love is not a luxury, but a necessity. Beauty is not a matter of genetics. Even the most beautiful hair needs the right routine and nutrients to stay healthy.
This thought became my driving force. I wanted to create a brand that inspires people to approach themselves again with love and mindfulness. A brand that shows that self-care is not a luxury, but an expression of self-appreciation.
This is how MAVI BEAUTY came into being – out of passion, courage, and the desire to redefine beauty and self-confidence. With honest quality, luxurious aesthetics, and a sense of purity in every detail.
